A private Winter Weather Advisory encompasses most of Western, Central, and Eastern Kentucky, beginning Sunday night, through the afternoon, Monday.
Precipitation is already occurring in parts of Kentucky, and will likely switch from rain, to mix, to snow after 23:00 Sunday. Up to 6+ inches in some areas particularly in a narrow strip depicted in the advisory map. Locally, some areas may accumulate up to 8 inches.
Wind Statement: Wind will likely be mild, gusts may reach 15-20mph, with the greatest gusts occurring between midnight and 02:00 AM.

Travel Impact: Please give yourself additional travel time to account for warming your vehicle up. Make sure you keep enough fuel in your vehicle in case of an emergency, this will allow you to run your vehicle for heat longer. Additionally, there may be ice and snow on roadways. Use caution, or preferably stay home!
