A private Winter Weather Advisory encompasses most of Central, Western, Northern, and Eastern Kentucky, beginning Thursday night, through the afternoon, Friday, and possibly extending in to Saturday.

Precipitation is already occurring in Western Kentucky, and will likely accumulate up to 5 inches in some areas particularly around the bluegrass region and South Eastward. Most areas West of I-75 will be looking at 1-3 inches.

Wind Statement: Wind will likely be mild, gusting to 10-12 mph.

Travel Impact: Please give yourself additional travel time to account for warming your vehicle up. Make sure you keep enough fuel in your vehicle in case of an emergency, this will allow you to run your vehicle for heat longer. Additionally, there may be ice and snow on roadways. Use caution, or preferably stay home!

15 JAN 2017 – Valid until 11:00 AM 16 JAN 2018

A private Winter Weather Advisory encompasses most of Northern, Central, Western, and Eastern Kentucky, beginning Friday afternoon, through the early morning Tuesday, January 16th, 2018.

Precipitation is already occurring, and will likely accumulate up to 4 inches in some areas.

Winter Weather Advisory #002: Expires 13 JAN 2018 (11:00 Eastern)

12 JAN 2017 – Valid until 11:00 AM 13 JAN 2018

A private Winter Weather Advisory encompasses most of Northern, Central, Western, and Eastern Kentucky, beginning Friday afternoon, through the early morning Saturday, January 13th, 2018.

Precipitation will begin before Friday night, and will likely transition from light to moderate mix and snow to snow through the morning hours of Saturday. Areas Northeast, South, and West of Berea are expected to encounter a more snow than others, but snow is still a threat everywhere at this point. Temperatures will quickly drop once the cold front enters the state, and temperatures in the low teens can be expected Saturday morning.
