We rely on donations to function. We provide water, food, medicine, and rescue efforts when Kentuckians are hit hardest. Most recently we brought two full vehicles of toys and water to Eastern Kentucky after their most recent rounds of deadly flooding. Before that we were out in Mayfield, KY assisting after tornados decimated their town, killing several.
We do not make money doing this, we do not get paid doing this. Everything we do and offer comes out of our own pockets in effort to make a positive impact on the community. We were also in Florida when the hurricanes hit doing what we could.
You don’t have to, but a donation can make a huge impact! Supplying families with much needed relief, helping to get us to the hardest hit areas, and allowing us to conduct rescue efforts is something you can help with by making a donation! If you’re able to of course. We understand times are tough, but every dollar can make a huge impact. The more donations we receive the more relief we are able to provide. Sometimes I am personally working additional jobs just to pay for simple things like water to bring to disasters. It’s exhausting work but I love being able to make an impact in our communities. One very memorable moment for myself is after the tragic Flatgap flooding in KY, people who had lost their entire homes were sitting outside, with nothing. They were cooking food for their neighbors and rescue workers even though they had nothing. This goes to show you the strength in community and the good people we serve.
